Located in Central Ohio: We got our first poodle in 1999 when my children wanted a dog and was looking for one that didn't affect their allergies. Previously, we had only had strays and rescues but with the need for a "hypo-allergetic" non-shedding dog, I went on the search for a Poodle, as that was the dog I was brought up with and familiar. We had so much fun with the pup. With that, our love for raising and breeding Toy Poodles began.
Our Moms' health is the primary concern when planning a breeding program at Ohio Standard Poodles. The pups are born in our home and wean in their – and mom’s - own timing. The pups need to be 8 weeks old to leave, but if there is a very small one for some reason or they are nursing longer than usual, we may choose to keep them longer.
All of the dogs at Ohio Standard Poodles are AKC registered and our babies AKC regesterable. All pups come current with their first vaccines and de-wormings, are Micro-chipped, a care package. care instructions, and a two year written health guarantee assuming compliance to the guidlines. Health and genetic testing helps insure the quality of our babies and can be see on the specific pages for the individual parents.
